A 1989 British film with a star filled cast including Helen Mirren, David Threlfall and David Suchet. It is based on the childrens book written by renowned author Michael Morpurgo,and is set and filmed on Bryher, Isles of Scilly.
Film Starts: Shortly after sunset (8:45 ish pm), please turn up 20 minutes before film starts in case we are able to start slightly earlier.
Please book tickets in the bubbles you will be attending with to help us maintain social distancing and arrange the seating for you in advance.
Drinks and snacks: There will be an outdoor bar with prosecco, ales, lager and wines and soft drinks, our speciality hot chocolates with all the toppings (try it with Baileys or Brandy for an extra kick!). Popcorn,crisps, sweets and snacks also on sale. Please do not bring your own drinks with you. Cash only on site please. We are a rain or shine event (unless extreme) so if the weather surprises us and the skies open please make sure you are dressed for the weather! It can be chilly once the sun goes down so please do wrap up warm and bring a blanket.
Seating: Seating and blanklets are provided but not allocated so be sure to arrive in advance to choose your chair, feel free to bring cushions and blankets for extra comfort. Seating is over 3 stepped levels in a semi circle shaped ampitheatre, there is also a row of ground floor seating if you prefer.
Venue: Situated at the Five Islands School Ampitheatre, enter via the school carpark at Old Town or through the dump path, just follow the signs and listen for the music and jollity!
Covid Safety:If Covid related control measures are still in place on this date, appropriate social distancing measures will be in put in place for your safety. If we are unable to run the event due to Covid restrictions any tickets purchased will be fully refunded.
Tickets- Your e tickets will be attached to your confirmation email. Please ensure you can display your tickets on your phone or bring printed copies. You can also buy paper tickets from the Tourist Information Centre, St Marys.
